在銀行見到了《銀聯白金》，今天又在南航VIP休息室見到了新一期的6月號《往來》，很喜歡這一期的封面，很簡單的三種色，三個小圓弧，就是一隻QEE的熊仔頭呵，再看封面專題正是《卡通正成年》，用了十幾個頁碼來講成年人的卡通遊戲，依靠多啦A夢等玩偶來尋找自我的救贖。
文章說了小紅帽，日本漫畫，變形金剛，芭比娃娃，採訪了喜歡變形金剛的明星夏雨，當然，重頭戲一定還是採訪了歡哥，以4個P的內容為“空中飛人”們普及了一下iTOYZ，以及QEE等潮流、藝術玩具的小知識，雖然”《iCON雲中往來》也是初窺潮玩門徑，但文章寫得都OK，文章中也提到了藝術家玩具在中國市場啟動之關鍵人物，即TOY2R的蔡漢成，adFunture的EDDI，都是歡哥的老友, 記得要看哦。

HAITI EARTHQUAKE RELIEF EFFORTS - With the recent devastation of the 7.1 Magnitude Earthquake hitting Haiti's capitol of Port-au-Prince, Helping Haiti is on everyone¡¦s mind and that includes everyone here at Toy2R. We bring this opportunity to light as an effort to help find relief for those in need. Amazing Customs can bring about Amazing Action!

Toy2R, committed to helping the people of Haiti, would like to take this opportunity to share this unique opportunity for art collectors to help. On December 1st, The Exhibition Vinyl Cph, was held in Copenhagen at the Danish Architecture Center (DAC). The show runs through February 2nd (this coming Tuesday) and features over 30 original customized 16 inch Toyer Qee figures. More than 650 people where in attendance to view this unique take on the Toyer Qee. From painted and sculpted designs to a Toyer made out of more than fifty 2.5¡¨Toyer Qees ¡V each piece is an incredible work of art.

The aim of the project was to break down the borders between art and graphic design without any limitations. Vinyl Cph was curated by Jesper Elg and Soren Rose Kjaer, an ambassador for the Red Cross. Soren contacted Toy2R with the idea of donating proceeds from the sale of these pieces to support the relief efforts in Haiti. These amazing creations are now up for auction, where 50% of the proceeds will go directly to the Danish Red Cross Organization to help Haiti. Bids will be acceptedthrough February 2ndand shipping is available through Fedex or DHL.

With the new website, http://www.toy2rusa.com/ , up and running since Christmas, Toy2R is poised to make some waves in 2010.

The new web presence of Toy2R includes a revised blog moving QEE4ALL under the roof of the new site. News about upcoming releases, updates and all things Toy2R are being posted daily. News of the continuation of the Simpsons Qee line was confirmed with the announcement of the 10” Homer Simpson Qee dropping soon. This includes the classic everyday outfit Homer as well as the D.I.Y. Edition. Plans are in the works to make the D.I.Y. available for a world art tour like the Bart Simpson Qee Tour that included over 230 original customs! Other licensed Qee lines will be announced shortly including news about the follow-up series of Domo Qees!

The website also features an all new Custom Qee Gallery section with over 300 original customs on display. Works from Baseman to Voltaire to rare images of pieces by Buff Monster and Obey are available for viewing. Each limited edition deck is made from 100% Canadian Maple, 7 ply, and measures 8" x 32". Each design is limited to only 100 pieces and are priced at just $50 each.

Representing lowbrow street based artists, Genuine Artikle Gallery and Art Toy Boutique features paintings, urban vinyl, blind box, DIY & designer toys, handmade apparel and accessories. In-house printing of their limited edition clothing and exclusive collaborations with showcased artists are two of the many ways GA represents the best of the true underground art scene by showing what's really happening under the radar.

ECOQEE saves the World competition project

Toy2r has teamed up with the Hong Kong Vocational Training Council, Business with Design Management course of the Department of Business Administration this year and organized an internal student competition project. Through the competition, BDM students will base their concepts on environmental awareness, ECO, and apply the design concepts to Toy2R's 3.5 inch BABY QEE DIY vinyl figure .

The selected designs will have a chance to be exhibited in various locations around Hong Kong and the first show are now available at HKTDC Design Gallery, the show will carry on in Taiwan December 2009.

These exhibited designs may even be produced as production pieces as part of Toy2r's 15th Anniversary releases next year. Through this project students will have the chance to apply their design knowledge in a business context as well as learn through integrating design with business through using products, event promotion, and green Marketing.

Raymond Choy, the founder of Toy2R is very supportive of this project and visited the VTC campus on Sept. 25, 2009 to deliver a brief to BDM's students. Not only is he supportive in their actions but Mr. Choy was pleased to offer scholarship opportunities for the students with the best designs.

Get Moving with Qee Rapid Transit

In a unique collaboration - Toy2R and Kaohsiung Rapid Transit Network worked together to release the KRTCO Kuso Qee Bears. Each Qee Bear features a simple form of the transit network available in Black and White.

Available stating October 24th and all KRTCO subway stations, each 2.5" Scale Qee exhibits a simple and yet recognizable design and includes patented key chain attachment while limited to only 1500 pieces of each version. The design of each Kuso Qee Bear will be represented on transit theme cards while the blister card backing features the entire transit map.

In addition,a 60" version of the Black Kuso Bear, which will be located in the station and passengers are encouraged to stop and take a photo with the giant Qee Bear while traveling on the transit system.

DISCOVER DESIGN

Organised by Hong Kong Design Centre, the two-week summer's Discover Design was held from 18 July to 1 August 2009. Targeting students at senior secondary schools, the programme comprised intense studio work, seminars, workshops, mini projects, meet-the-designers sessions and visits. Deeply immersed in a culture that is both demanding and rewarding, students experience what education and work are like in the design and creative professions.

The two-week programme including all public events attracted over 2,000 participants. I am express my Honor to support to Discover Design 2009.

We have captured the happy moments of this two-week programme and a video clip is now available at here
